Well its about time I got around
to posting this tutorial and in time for your Easter treats. With so much going
on all the time, I had to make the time to share this with you. Its really
simple and so cute to make with your little helpers.
Please view my previous post Easter cupcake toppers
to clarify the supplies needed for this project.
So lets
get started
This is
what you will need:
Gumpaste
white & colours
Edible
glue
Edible
ink marker pen
Cocktail
stick
Paintbrush
Modelling
tools
Step 1
For the
bunny bottom and tail - roll
1/2 teaspoon full size of white gumpaste into a smooth ball and then a half a
pea size of white gumpaste into another ball for the tail. Use you modelling
tool or a cocktail stick to prick the tail to make it seem fluffly and stick
this on the bunny's bottom using edible glue.
Step 2
Bunny
paws - roll 2
x pea size white gumpaste into balls and 2 x tiny pink gumpaste into balls.
Firstly flatten the white and shape into foot shape with a narrow top and wider
bottom. Then roll the pink into a slightly sausage shape and flatten, now stick
this on the foot using edible glue and smooth down the edges with your
modelling tool. Lastly use a knife to mark the paw.
Step 3
Sign
board -
Flatten or roll blue gumpaste, cut into a rectangular shape and round off the
edges. Use a knife the make lines as for a wood grain effect. Use cocktail
stick to mark holes at corners to look like nails through the wood. Use a
small amount of blue paste roll into a smooth ball. Brush the cocktail stick
lightly with glue then roll blue paste onto stick, leave a free edge at bottom.
You can flatten the top slightly so it sticks well on the board.
Step 4
Carrots - Roll orange gumpaste in pea size balls then form them into cone shapes with a flat top. Mark them with a knife to look lifelike. Roll and cut green paste into triangles, then snip off the point at the bottom slit tops to form leaves. Stick this on top of carrot with glue.
Leave all pieces to dry over night. Then you can write a message on the board using an edible marker pen.
Build your cupcake. Fill an icing bag with green icing and a grass tip nozzle. Hold bag at a 90' angle and place nozzle on cupcake, squeeze and lift up this creates the grass effect. Add your bunny and other elements. I also added small egg shaped sweets to finish the look.

What an awesome idea and you make it sound so easy to do
